Today we’re talking about Facebook Groups, to be more specific how to keep spam out of your groups!
So, the first thing you can do is change your settings! Change your settings to ‘Closed’ so that people have to request to join before they can post.
After this, ask questions! This is a really useful trick to find out bots and people who seem most likely to spam because you can view their answers and see who did and didn’t answer – along with finding out which accounts just joined Facebook (tip: most new accounts or accounts that didn’t answer your questions are most likely bots, add a note on top saying you’re declining everyone who doesn’t answer to sort them out!).
Next, add moderators! Find the best people in your group and mark them as administrators so they can help support your group. Additionally – make your group fun! Whenever someone reports spam, try making a post to acknowledge them and thank them. Not only does this show that you’re doing your best to remove all the spam on your page, it’ll also encourage them to keep doing it!
