Blog Promotion: 15 Ways to Promote Your Blog Contents
Here are the top 15 ways I know to promote your blog contents. I might be made aware of some others later, and I will let you know about it, but these are the top 15 I know as at today. You may want to bookmark this post to come back to it again since it is fairly long. Enjoy!
1. Use these two WordPress Plugins
• Ultimate Plugins Smart Update Pinger
This plugin pings a lot of sites when you make a blog post. It gets your site out on the internet right away in the search engines. It does it on autopilot. All you have to do is publish a blog post and it just updates the whole search engines all over the place and get your blog seen.
• OnlyWire Auto Poster
Install this plugin and set up an account at onlywire. You will be able to automatically bookmark your website on all the social media sites. It is powerful for SEO because of backlinks. It will give you instant backlinks to your website. When you first set it up, you have to set up like 20-30 social media sites, but that’s the hard part because after setting it up once, you do not need to bother about it again.
2. NetworkedBlogs
Though I see a lot of people use this service, I am not sure I have seen anyone write about it. Well, NetworkedBlogs is a facebook application that automatically posts your blog contents to your facebook wall, fan page and other groups that you admin. Just type ‘NetworkedBlogs’ on the search bar of facebook and register your site. Any time you have a new post, it posts it to your friends and fans. Autopilot!
3. Post on Blokube
Blokube is awesome. It is a place you simply submit any blog content you publish. I explained the reasons I strongly advocate for using Blokube in the post I titled…

4. Post On BlogInteract
You submit it the way you do to Blokube. I met my friend, Bryan Hollis (founder) at BlogInteract. (Hey Bryan, my Mind Movie is ready, I’ll be posting it shortly.) Aside blog promotion, you can meet some very like-minded individuals too.
5. Post on BlogEngage
BlogEngage is a target community that provides awesome content from bloggers and entrepreneurs. Add yours to the list.
6. Post on Serpd
Done well, you could get some good traffic here. However I don’t like it. I really don’t know if it is that Serpd does not like my blog or what. It doesn’t allow me to submit my blog posts.
Maybe your experience will be different as I know some who do submit their contents regularly. (Hmmm…a good idea is to ask them how they go about it.:) )
7. Post on BizSugar
The major reason I love BizSugar is that it gives me link juice. It has a good Alexa ranking therefore a link back helps with the search engine efforts. Did anyone notice I am getting closer to the 100k Alexa mark, maybe I will be by the time you are reading this, well I am sure BizSugar was instrumental to that.
8. Post on Facebook Groups
Look for facebook groups that are in your niche and post to a couple. I know Ryan Biddulph posts to more than 50 groups and he will tell you how beneficial it is.
You might want to target the New Facebook Groups as opposed to the old facebook groups. If you want a detailed article on how facebook groups have helped my MLM business, read this post…

9. Mail Your List
If you have a lot of people on your mailing list, it is a good idea to mail your list about the benefit of reading your latest post. If you have a good relationship with your list, you will get a large traffic from there.
10. Submit to BetterNetworker
BetterNetworker is a social networking community for network and internet marketers. The Internet’s #1 Social Community for Home Business Owners. I wrote an extensive review of the BetterNetworker site here…

11. Submit to EzineArticles
I got this tip from Erin Smith. I personally don’t like article spinning so this is a good option for me. I just draft a shorter version of my post as an article and submit as an article on EzineArticles and include the link to the parent post in the ‘Author Bio’ section of the article.
12. Make a YouTube Video
I just realized that it is easy to make a YouTube video version of your posts. I’ll start using it as soon as possible. You should consider this too since YouTube as now become the second largest search engine.
13. Plant a seed @ SeededBuzz
At SeededBuzz, you simply submit your blog post as a seed and others are notified to see if they would be interested in promoting and taking up the topic and write series on it. I hope this post becomes successful there.
14. Join Blog Commenting Communities
Probably the best decision you will make as far as your blog promotion is concerned is getting involved in some awesome content syndication communities like Tribe Pro, Clever Marketer Mastermind Community and TSA.
You join a group of people who are committed to sharing your content with their followers, you enjoy more comments, and some even have resources available to their members. Some are paid, but also have FREE membership. I advice that for those that have paid membership, try out their FREE membership first to have a feel of it.
15. Tell Your Readers to Share Your Contents
This is powerful, but most people do not put enough effort into urging their followers to share their contents. Make it easy to share your comments by installing content sharing plugins like Digg Digg.
To lead by example, here is my plea to you to kindly share this post with your group of followers on facebook, twitter, and digg. Much thanks!
Note that this list is by no means exhaustive as I am sure there are tons of other ways to promote your blog contents that I am not aware of.
